The Unity card is a system designed specifically for the
small independent retailer.
It is built upon the foundation of the itworks smart
card platform.
The Unity Card gives the independent retailer the power of
the tools used by big retail chains to target their marketing
and gain and retain customers. Unfortunately, this is often
at the expense of the small independent retailer.
The Unity Card system gives the retailer the following functionality.
A Loyalty Card System. But better than a single
retailer scheme. The Unity Card system is global, so customers
can gain and spend points in any participating outlet. All
small independent retailers can participate and together
they are bigger than any chain. Customers are attracted
to the retailer's outlet in preference to the chain stores
because the chain's loyalty programme rewards can only be
spent in the chain's shops. Unity Card rewards can be spent
in any participating outlet, so the customer can save up
for that item he has had her eye on, and that the big chain
does not carry.
A gift card system. No longer does a retailer need
to worry about printing gift vouchers. And in what denominations?
Use the secure, fraud proof Unity Gift card system. Unity
Gift cards are blank before being charged, so there is nothing
to steal. The cards are protected by a pin number selected
by the purchaser. Only the intended recipient can cash them
in. Any amount can be charged to the card. The gift amount
can be spent in any number of smaller amounts and in more
than one location.
A customer account system. Often retailers offer
'Christmas Clubs' or customer accounts for goods or services
received. The Unity Card system allows the retailer to quickly
and securely account for goods & services received without
the hassle of paper based systems - its all recorded by
the Unity Card system.
The retailer has a Unity Card web account through which he
can derive customer spending patterns from the loyalty system
and manage customer accounts from the customer account system.
The gift card system needs no administration from the retailer
other than recording how many cards he has sold and what value
he has accepted.
As time goes by, additional features and schemes are added
to the system often with the co-operation of the local authority.
Participating retailers receive all such additions at no extra
charge. So it can be seen the system is of real and lasting
value to the retailer by attracting and keeping customers,
which means he can build his business.
